Featuring Hands-Free Reverse Lock
Every other kayak motor mount on the market requires you to engage a mechanical lock to use reverse. Not the Mach 2!
We utilize stainless steel ball detents, much like the ones you find on a closet door, to lock the motor in place. If the motor strikes something, the ball locks release, allowing the motor to lift.
Terms you need to know:
Reverse Capability: The percentage of thrust you can achieve before the motor overrides the reverse locks.
Release Capability: The amount of force required for the ball-locks to release the motor.
These two forces act like a see-saw. As one goes up, the other goes down. Bare this in mind when determining which locking position is right for you.
The mount that customizes to your style.
No one knows your fishing style, and the waters you fish better than you. That’s why we wanted to design the Hands-Free Reverse lock in such a way that would allow you to choose whats best for you.
If you are the typical bass fisherman, and you frequently fish skinny water with stumps and logs, you’ll definitely want to be in the top position. True…it offers the least reverse capability, but it offers the maximum release capability.
